China's President Xi Jinping, other Politburo members and senior government officials had been expected to attend the closed-door Central Economic Work Conference this week in Beijing.

This was to set a policy path for the Chinese economy in 2023.

Overnight Bloomberg reported that the meeting had been delayed. Also that there was no timetable for rescheduling. The report cited unnamed people familiar with the matter.
